Aftershock

December’s death was a tremor; 
   January’s, major earthquake.
Somewhere in the rubble 
   I’m still searching for the metaphor
That brings to life how I feel 
   now that both my parents are dead.

I don’t feel it quite so strongly now, but still…. Peace to our ♥s!
