Common Cents

Who dropped this penny?
Hard to tell—
Manuel, Benny?
Maddie, Belle?

Of losers, weepers
There’s no sign.
Finders, keepers
Makes it mine.

One from my collection of children’s poems. I still pick up pennies, even though a single penny doesn’t buy anything these days. It’s even nicer to find nickels, dimes, or quarters. Recently I found double quarters on two different days in two different locations. A whole dollar! Peace to your !

Pennies… yup try buying something when you’re one penny short. There’s more value to them when we need one. Thanks for the lovely poem. So catchy. Perfect. xoxo
