My older two daughters moved to Chicago last week. In honor of them, a “big city” poem. Peace to your ♥!
Little Ditty
Poet in a big city
Once composed a little ditty.
Super-pleased, almost giddy,
Sent it to a large committee.
Upon review, little ditty,
Formerly light and witty,
Morphed into monstrosity—
More a chimera than a kitty.
Poet didn’t like it, did he?
Not even an itty-bitty.
Discomposed, ditched the ditty
Wrote no more, more’s the pity.
